I love simple crafts for kids that use recycled materials. I don't think Moms should have to spend a lot for their kids to have fun, so lately I have been concentrating on crafts that start with recycled materials from around the house. This "Pot of Gold" craft starts with some single serving yogurt containers that have been painted black. And what little one doesn't love to paint? So let's get out the newspapers and get busy with this fun and easy craft!
Here is what I started with....a single serving container. You might have other plastic containers that will work just as well.
To make this, you will need:
Single serve plastic containers
Black craft paint
Paint brush
Green paper shred
Gold chocolate coins {Dollar store}
St. Patrick's Day flags, optional {Micheals 50% off}
OR have kids make their own flag with paper and markers.
To Create:
1. Paint containers in black. Apply second coat if needed.
2. Stuff with green paper shred and gold coins.
3. Add flag to top.
This is a great craft to make with your kids and their friends!
Or it would be a great gift to give!
And if you are looking for an easy sweet treat to make, how about these
